    Blinking awake, the NightWing was aware of something blocking his view. He shook his head and blinked again, but all he could see was an empty void. "Sunny?" He croaked, yearning for his friend.
    "No, it's me, Fatespeaker."
    "Oh..." Starflight trailed off. Whoops. He was slightly embarassed that he had accidentally mistook Fatespeaker for Sunny. They were truly very alike. Sometimes their voices even sounded the same, especially when he was swimming in a thick lake of unclear thoughts and confusion. "What happened?"
    "You were burned by the lava... I tried all I could... but..." Fatespeaker hesitated. She turned away, hoping for the best. "you're blind, Starflight."
    "What??" Starflight cried out, a little too loudly. Taken aback, Fatespeaker flinched at the volume. Oh no... I made him upset. She lowered her head and sighed. It's no use. He'll never notice me... not like he notices Sunny. I don't deserve him.
    An image flashed in her mind. Her ex-friend, Viper, slammed her to the ground, her venomous tail raised high. Up close, Fatespeaker looked into Viper's eyes and saw a burning hatred like never before. She saw a thirst for blood in the SandWing's eyes. At first she had thought she was just joking, that she wouldn't really kill a friend, but now she realized it. Viper was really going to kill her.
    "This is your fault, Viper had said, rage rising in her throat. Fatespeaker was truly afraid. She had thought of Viper as a friend. Oh how wrong she was.
    All this time... I've been holding on to a false hope. Is that what my feelings for Starflight are? A mere fantasy? Am I so desperate for someone to finally care in my life, I would dive headfirst into a romance?
    Starflight is physically blind, but I've been blind this whole time. I should just leave. I don't have... as Fatespeaker turned to abscond, she felt a talon flail around for a moment and land on her shoulder.
    "Fatespeaker!"
    ...a chance?
    She turned her head and saw Starflight, his eyes pointed in her general direction. She was lucky he wouldn't see her blushing.
    "Thanks." He smiled a bit sadly, but appreciatively. And Fatespeaker knew he meant it.

    In spite of herself, Fatespeaker couldn't help but smile.
    "See? You look so much better when you smile." The male NightWing grinned back.
    "You can't see..."
    "That doesn't matter."}

After hours of working, I have finally finished this thing. It was supposed to be a lot shorter, but it kinda went off track ^^'

I love writing Fatespeaker omg
I'm not very sure this is in character with her thoughts or anything, but this depiction of Fatespeaker is so cool don'tcha think?
I sort of imagine her as based off of Anna from Disney's Frozen. Like, she doesn't know much about the real world and stuff. But then Starflight helps her see a different way.
